Easy turkey chilli

Lean turkey mince simmered with beans, tomatoes, and mild spices — a simple one-pan dinner.

Ingredients

  • • Turkey mince
  • • Onion
  • • Garlic
  • • Olive oil
  • • Tinned tomatoes
  • • Kidney beans
  • • Chilli powder
  • • Cumin
  • • Paprika
  • • Salt
  • • Black pepper

Steps

  1. 1.

    Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large pan. Cook 1 chopped onion for 4–5 minutes until softened.

    Add 2 crushed garlic cloves and 500g turkey mince. Cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking it up, until browned.

  3. 3.

    Stir in 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

  4. 4.

    Add 1 tin chopped tomatoes (400g) and 1 drained tin kidney beans (400g). Simmer for 15–20 minutes until thickened.

    Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot.
